Sear Hock Rong, 23
Chairman

Education: Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Hock Rong served as a grassroots leader since the age of 18. He is currently serving as Secretary in Eunos Zone '2' Residents' Committee and Eunos Civil Defence Executive Committee. Also, he is a member of the Eunos Community Club and PAP Community Foundation (Eunos) Management Committee. During his school days, he was an active CCA leader, having served in various committees such as the NYAA Gold Award Holders Alumni, Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students' Union and Early Childhood Education Society.

Hock Rong hopes to continue working closely with the YEC members and grassroots leaders to organise meaningful and activities for residents. He enjoys jogging and fishing.

Constance Bay, 25
Vice Chairlady

Occupation: Junior Medical Technologist
Education: Diploma in Biomedical Science

Constance is currently pursuing a Degree in Counseling. Her interest lies in music, interacting and meeting new friends.

She is also the Membership Secretary in charge of the Bedok North Secondary School Service Learning Club.

Brenda Liu, 26
General Secretary

Occupation: Postgraduate Student
Education: B.Eng (Mech.)

Brenda has been active in the YEC since Dec 2006. During her term in the YEC, she has had the opportunity of working with other youth and grassroots organisations on projects such as the NorthEast ExTreme (N.E.X.T) Challenge, Ramadan On Wheels and the Eunos CC 25th Anniversary Celebrations. She was also part of the Eunos Dragonboat Team in 2007 and 2008.

She looks forward to creating awareness of the YEC to Eunos residents and to encourage more youth participation in their activities. Brenda enjoys traveling, baking, sewing and making new friends.

Yap Peng Koon, 22
Assistant General Secretary

Occupation: Undergraduate
Education: Major in Applied Chemistry, NUS

His interest is in Materials Chemistry and he hopes to further his studies or work in an industry associated with Polymer Chemistry upon graduation.

He enjoys sports such as soccer, basketball and beach volleyball. He regularly kayaks and windsurfs every weekend.

Fong Yoong Kheong, 22
Treasurer

Occupation: Undergraduate
Education: Major in Political Science, NUS

Yoong Kheong is currently serving as Assistant Secretary in Eunos Zone '3' Residents' Committee and Vice-President (Education) of Kampong Chai Chee Community Centre Toastmasters Club. He was also a student leader, serving as Chairman of Temasek Junior College Photographic Society and Chairman of Damai Secondary School AV Club. He had also been in the youth panel for the then FeedBack Unit (now REACH). He is passionate in local politics and current affairs. An active blogger, he owns a blog at www.furykid.blogspot.com.

He hopes to make Eunos a vibrant place by attracting more youth into grassroots through YEC activities and youth initiatives such as environment conservation and community service.

Muhd Faisal Bin Zainol Abidin, 30
Assistant Treasurer

Occupation: Security Consultant
Education: NTC2 in Automotive Mechanics

Faisal was the President of ITE Ang Mo Kio Student Council in 1997. He attended a leadership course organised by Ministry of Home Affairs in 2002 and was a PR-24 trainer in 2005. He served in the YEC as General Secretary from 2005 to 2007.

He wants to do his small bit to help the YEC excel and achieve greater success.

Loh Ming Choo, 21
Publicity Secretary

Occupation: Civil Servant
Education: NITEC in Digital Media Design

Ming Choo has a strong passion in Community Service and has served as a Youth Grassroots Leader in Eunos for many years. As the Publicity Secretary of the YEC, she helped designed most of our banners and posters for YEC activities and these attractive publicity materials made publicity in Eunos more exciting. She made Eunos proud by winning the 1st Prize in the Aljunied GRC Youth Initiative Logo Design Competition 2007.

Ming Choo was Head Librarian in Ping Yi Secondary School and received numerous Certificates and Awards. Most remarkably, she received her National Youth Achievement Award (Silver) from Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports in 2005.

Ming Choo hopes to liven up the youth scene in Eunos and continue to help the poor and needy. She enjoys singing and shopping.

Chua Jialing, 16
Sports and Adventure Secretary

Education: "N" Levels

Jialing took up Dragonboating as a CCA in school and enjoys being the drummer, providing motivation for the team. She also represented Eunos Community Club in Dragonboat competitions.

She loves travelling and suntanning at the beach. She hopes that she can organise overseas trips for youth.

Siti Rahayu, 16

Rahayu took up Dragonboating as a CCA in school and represented Eunos CC in Dragonboat competitions. She is also an active volunteer at Eunos Zone '7' Residents' Committee, serving as Block Representative.

Noor Abdillah Bin Ali, 19
Social Education Secretary

Abdillah was an active CCA leader during his secondary school days as Head Librarian. He has organised training workshops, school camps and played host to local and foreign visitors to the school.

He hopes to attract more Malay youths to come forward to serve as grassroots leaders.

Timothy Goh, 17

Timothy actively participates in grassroots activities from a young age. He holds a Taekwondo Black Belt 1st Poom and has participated in many Taekwondo competitions. He has a keen interest in making new friends.

Madeline served in the Student Council in Republic Polytechnic. She was a peer support leader as well as a student leader during her secondary school days as well.

Teo Wei Kiat, 14

Wei Kiat is an active youth volunteer in Eunos. He often participates in many grassroots events and is well-liked by his peers. In school, he joins the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps as his CCA.

He aspires to be elected as a member of the YEC in future to better serve Eunos residents and create a vibrant youth scene in the constituency.

Kam Chee Lee, 25

Chee Lee has been an active member of Damai Secondary School Alumni since 2001. He helps out in various activities with the school including facilitating student leader camps and mentoring his juniors.

He decided to join the YEC as a youth volunteer upon participating in a fun-filled trip to the Southern Ridges organised by the YEC.
